Norton Athletic FC are delighted to announce the signing of Lewis Read from Caister FC ahead of the 2026/27 Anglian Combination Premier Division season.
One of the standout performers in Division One last season, Lewis arrives at The Highfield with an outstanding reputation as a cultured, technically gifted attacking midfielder capable of influencing games from both central and wide areas.
Millers supporters won’t need reminding of his quality either.
Lewis caught everyone’s attention last season by scoring two outstanding goals against Norton Athletic, producing a performance that left no doubt he was one of the division’s top talents.
Now, instead of playing against us, he’ll be wearing the blue and yellow as a Miller.
Lewis is a player who brings intelligence, composure and creativity every time he steps onto the pitch.
Comfortable receiving the ball in tight areas, driving at defenders or unlocking defences with his passing, he offers the versatility to play across the attacking midfield positions while also carrying a genuine goal threat, having scored nine goals from midfield for Caister last season.
As Norton Athletic prepares for life in the Anglian Combination Premier Division, Lewis adds another dimension to an already exciting squad.
Promotion to the Premier Division represents another major milestone in the club’s journey, but everyone at Norton Athletic knows there is still plenty of work ahead.
