Phase 3 - Floodlit 3g 11v11 community football facility
Creating A Year-Round Football Hub For South Norfolk
THE VISION
Phase 3 of The Highfield Masterplan is the creation of a floodlit FIFA-quality 3G 11v11 football facility.
This project represents the single biggest transformational opportunity in the Club’s history.
The facility will provide a year-round football venue capable of supporting grassroots football, schools, community organisations and local residents.
WHY A 3G FACILITY?
Grass pitches are heavily affected by weather and seasonal conditions.
A modern 3G facility provides:
Year-round availability
All-weather playing surface
Increased football participation
Reduced cancellations
Improved player development
Additional training opportunities
The facility will allow football to be played 365 days a year.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
The 3G facility will be available to:
Local schools
Youth football teams
Adult football teams
Walking football groups
Disability football programmes
Community organisations
Holiday football camps
The objective is to create a community asset that benefits the whole area.
ECONOMIC BENEFITS
The facility will generate sustainable recurring income through:
Team training hire
Match hire
Schools usage
Community hire
Holiday camps
Coaching programmes
Tournament events
These revenues help secure the long-term future of Norton Athletic FC.
LANDOWNER BENEFITS
The proposed facility would significantly increase the value and utility of the land.
Rather than agricultural land producing limited returns, the site would become a valuable sports and community asset funded primarily through external grants and investment.
DELIVERING THE FUTURE
The 3G facility completes the Highfield Masterplan and positions Norton Athletic FC as one of the leading community football clubs in Norfolk.
It creates a legacy that will benefit future generations long after today’s players have finished playing.
